Hiya dolls and gents! So, it’s been a hot crazy minute since I had any updates. Covid madness aside, I’ve been making some big changes to my author and book stuff.
The change is one you may have noticed already – I changed my pen name! With the help of several marketing peeps, and lots of praying about it, I’ve changed my pen name to Rosie Zayne. Using “Roze Wallin” was only one letter different from my actual non-writer everyday name, and it was confusing people. Seriously, I got messages and emails asking why I bothered at all, several people were actually frustrated that I’d confused them with a pen name that wasn’t really a pen name.
As I’m learning more about marketing and working with some professionals in the field, I’ve decided that, you know what, they’re right. Why bother having a pen name if I’m not actually going to change much? The first name is similar but with a different last name, we all feel it’ll be a much better marketing name to use.
Over the next week I’ll be updating all my online sites as well as all my published books to reflect the new name. It’s a big change, but one I feel at peace about.
Why Rosie Zayne? Well, I love my first name and still don’t want to pick a new one for writing, which is why I went with the name I’ve been using for 5/6 years. The last name is a diminutive name for the Hebrew word for rose, and in English means “God is Gracious” which is exactly how I feel about being able to write books at all. He’s so wonderful with me and I wanted something to honor that in my pen name, and that fits perfectly. So from here on out, unless He leads another change for me, I’ll be writing and publishing as Rosie Zayne.
In other news, I WILL be doing NaNoWriMo this year! I’m hoping to get all this stuff updated before Nov 1st so I can get to cracking on book #10! Whoot!
I hope you’re having a fantastic last week of October! Love and light,
~Rosie Zayne
